Tajikistan Praised Pakistan's Role in Afghanistan in Establishing Peace and Stability

Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, on Wednesday 25th, has praised Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan in establishing peace and stability. Tajikistan President remarked such words in a meeting with Pakistan Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, during his first meeting of four nations tour.

 Also, he added that peace and stability in the neighboring country would benefit the region and will enhance trade and economic cooperation. Furthermore, the foreign minister of Pakistan also shared their perspective on the current situation of Afghanistan. President Emomali Rahmon said that he is looking forward to meeting Prime Minister Imran Khan at the SCO Summit in Sept 2021 in Dushanbe.

Earlier, FM of Pakistan and Tajikistan also shared their perspectives over the latest development in Afghanistan. Moreover, the FM of Pakistan apprised his Tajik counterpart for supporting Pakistan’s policy of an inclusive political solution in Afghanistan and is hopeful that Afghan leaders would achieve a working environment as soon as possible.

During the meeting, the two FMs talked about the strengthening of the bilateral relations and support to one another on matters of mutual interest.
